COVER-UPS / A NEW START

Make it feellike you again.

Your old tattoo may no longer reflect who you are—or it never turned out as you hoped. Let’s explore a cover-up that works with the existing piece and feels right for you today.

01 — Understand the existing tattoo

We discuss what you would like to change and what you want instead. The existing design, its size and its placement are our starting point.

02 — Develop the new shape

The new design needs to work with both the existing tattoo and your body. Depending on the project, larger shapes, ornaments or solid black areas may play a part.

03 — Look at the result

Healed photographs show a piece after healing. The results shown here are individual examples; every cover-up is planned personally.

02 — WHY FREEHAND

Your body
isn’t flat.

A paper template doesn’t know your shoulder. That’s why I draw freehand directly on the skin: I adjust the lines until they flow with your anatomy – and you see the result before the needle touches your skin.

I’m Francisco – FRANKNABE. Born in Argentina. Tattooing since 2013. Stuttgart. My focus: blackwork, blackout, Polynesian-inspired and ornamental tattoos.
