Planning a Stuttgart tattoo visit from Germany or Switzerland

Blackout, blackwork, cover-ups and Polynesian-inspired tattoos with FRANKNABE in Stuttgart. Enquiries welcome from across Germany and Switzerland.

Travelling for the right artist

If you are considering travelling within Germany or from Switzerland for a tattoo, you can enquire about a project with me in Stuttgart. The starting point is whether my work fits your idea. My portfolio includes blackout, blackwork, Samoan-inspired tattoos, cover-ups and geometric mandalas.

Discuss the project before planning the journey

Send your idea, placement, approximate size and where you would be travelling from. Include the dates or periods that could work for you. For a cover-up, a well-lit photograph of the existing tattoo helps. You do not need to send intimate photographs with an initial enquiry.

What should be confirmed before booking travel?

Confirm your appointment and exact studio location directly with me before booking transport or accommodation. A requested date or email enquiry is not an appointment confirmation. We first discuss the scope and timing of your project.

One visit or several?

This depends on the design, size and scope. Do not assume a larger project will take only one visit. Before you travel, we discuss the planned steps and whether further appointments need to be scheduled.

Stuttgart and guest spots

Stuttgart is my base. I also work as a guest artist in Hameln, Gießen and Kassel; confirmed dates are Gießen (12–15 October 2026) and Hameln (November 2026). Host studios will be announced in the Journal. If one of these cities is more convenient, ask about it specifically. No guest appointment in Switzerland is currently confirmed on this website.

Which style fits your idea?

Explore the individual style pages and the photographs labelled as healed. Send one or two examples you like and explain what appeals to you. This gives us a clear starting point before you plan a longer journey.
